About Stampzy

Last updated 11 October 2026

Stampzy is an iPhone app that stamps the date, time, GPS coordinates and the new-structure Vietnamese address onto photos and videos the moment you take them, made by Đào Văn Thương, an independent developer in Vietnam. It works offline, computes the commune and province of Vietnam's post-1 July 2025 structure (34 provinces, no district) on the phone, and comes with templates, attendance timesheets and daily photo reports for field work such as construction, delivery and customer visits. There is no account, and no server of the developer's receives photos or locations.

Why Stampzy exists

People who work in the field in Vietnam — site engineers, sales reps, delivery riders, inspectors, office staff on the road — send photos with the time and place on them every day to show where they were and when.

Since 1 July 2025 Vietnam has 34 provinces and no district level, but many timestamp cameras still print the old names. Stampzy ships the new boundaries and works out the commune and province on the phone, even without a signal.

It is also built to be honest: the stamp says “Verified time” only when the clock was actually checked, the photo code is described as a consistency code rather than proof, and there is no weekly plan.
